I am pretty active but no athlete and the broken ankle freaked me out that the old injuries would return from physical imbalance of walking with a walker. Also had knee injury from the ankle fall. I researched what big shot ortho clinic recommended as a vitamin supplement and chose this offering as an alternative to their liquid of similar make up. All I can say is that 1 month after my injury , and I am turning 55, my ortho says I am way ahead of the xray curve on healing and my old injuries have not flared up. 2 of 2 found this review helpful: Symtec 2000mg from costco, 2007-05-24 I love this supplement. I don't have any severe injuries or diseases with my joints or ligaments but I did injure my labrum in my shoulder (minor) and this has helped the pain levels decrease and help me keep my full range of motion. Even if I didn't have any injuries I would be taking this stuff because it helps with cartilage in my knees for running and lifting at the gym. This liquid Glucosamine/Collegen absorbs much faster in the body and we feel a difference right away in our often painful arthritic joints like our knees and wrists. I like when there are specials like Amazon has because we like to buy a quantity. 3 of 3 found this review helpful: pain relief, 2007-01-18 I have osteoarthritis and since taking this product,2 tbsp. daily my pain level has decreased and I am able to walk longer distances without severe swelling and pain. If I don't take it daily my stiffness and swelling returns quickly. Don't get me wong,I am not pain free,but this product hepls immensely.
